JK Smartbond Mortar incorporates water-proofing and self-curing polymers derived from cement and graded aggregates. Specifically formulated for use with water, it creates a robust and enduring mortar with superior adhesive strength between masonry units. Choosing JK Smartbond Mortar provides a superior option in terms of speed, safety, strength, and cost savings compared to traditional cement-sand mix mortar.

Surface Preparation

Achieve optimal performance by pre-wetting the surface of the block or masonry unit before applying JK Smartbond Mortar.

Enhance bonding further by thoroughly cleaning and rasping the surface using JK Smart tools.

Preparation of JK SmartBond - Mixing
  • Begin by placing the necessary quantity of JK Smartbond Mortar into a clean bucket or vessel. Gradually add clean water while mixing the product to achieve the desired consistency. (Approximately 6 litres of water are required per 25 kg bag of mortar). Ensure thorough blending of JK Smartbond Mortar with water before application.
  • After proper mixing, let the paste settle for 5-6 minutes before use, and it should be applied within 1 hour.
  • For optimal results, utilise the JK Smart tools kit, including a mixing paddle, to facilitate the blending process.
Method of Application
  • Ensure a clean and level surface, then apply a thin and uniform layer of JK Smartbond Mortar (3-4mm).
  • Utilise the JK Smart tools kit for consistent levelling. Promptly remove any excess material. Repeat this process for the entire masonry work.
